Privacy Policy
Sunrise Gazer ("the app") is an Android app published by JCC LLC. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Information the app uses
- Approximate location. Used only to calculate sunrise and sunset times and the direction of the sun. Location is read only while the app is open. You can enter a location by hand instead.
- Settings and session history. Your alarm settings, session lengths and the number of sessions you have completed.
Where it is stored
All of this information is stored only on your device. It is never sent to JCC LLC or to any third party. JCC LLC does not collect, sell, share or have access to any of it.
Third-party services
To display a town name, Android's built-in place-name service (Geocoder) may send your coordinates to your device maker's or Google's service. That lookup is handled by Android under your device's own privacy terms, not by the app.
The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or account sign-in.
Permissions
- Location (approximate): sunrise and sunset times and direction.
- Alarms and reminders: rings the sunrise and sunset alarms at the exact time.
- Notifications and full-screen alerts: shows the alarm over the lock screen.
- Run at startup: restores your alarms after the phone restarts.
Children
The app is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed at children.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored. You can also clear it in Android Settings → Apps → Sunrise Gazer → Storage → Clear storage.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
